Asha
lives with her family in St. Kitts/Nevis, West
Indies. It will be this talented fifteen year
old’s first recording to be released on
CD. Even at such a tender age, this young lady
has her goals well set.
“I’m happiest on stage doing what
I love, which is singing from my heart. When I
see the future, I see myself singing for the world”,
explains Asha.
The
dynamism, style and freshness of this young lady
will thrill and move audiences all over the globe.
Her talent; it flows so naturally!
The
song she is debuting with is entitled “Always”.
It was written by a team of Swedish
songwriters that include Paul Rein
who have recently written and produced international
hits for artists such as Christina Aguilera
and other female artists from France and Australia.
Produced
by John Francis & Jonas Hornblad, the original
backing tracks and vocals for “Always”
were first recorded in St. Kitts /Nevis. Final
mix and remixes were done in Sweden by Da
Dwarf one of Scandinavias’ new
generation of techno DJ/Producers.
“With
this song I am looking to create a new genre of
music. A style of dance music that draws from
the culture, history and fashion trends of the
Caribbean. Fused with the retrospective Euro-Trance-Pop
beats that have excited the youth of Europe and
beyond for the past 10 years. “
“We
will, with the Asha project, create our own brand
of popular music that would appeal primarily to
the youth of the Caribbean. As a record label,
we are hoping that we can make new music and develop
fresh artists from the youth culture of the Caribbean.
Somewhere along the line, ordinary young people
within the region will identify with this form
of artistic expression. Then a whole new world
of pop culture will have formed roots in the Caribbean.
A new era. A new sensation”, explains label
owner John Francis.
