Petter always has been very interested in music and started to collect records at the age og ten.
In the collection you can find everything from jazz to swedish pop.
When he creates he finds inspiration from musicians band like Brian Eno, Future sound
of London, Kraftwerk and Spacelab. Petter started to produce experimental music in the
summer of 1991, when he bought his first sampler. It was an Ensoniq EPS with one meg of
memory. In 1992 he met Thomas Krom and they started to produce music togheter.
They went to very simplistic studio in Lidköping and that was the place of where they recorded
their first tracks. In the spring of 1993 Thomas and Petter built their own studio in Falköping.
The same year Petter moved to Karlstad for three years of university studies.
From the years in Karlstad 1993-1996 he collaborated with several different musicians
including Michael Diser, Mhonolenc, and the boys from Vision System.
In 1996 he moved to lidköping, where he put up his own studio THE SOFT ROOM.
In 1997 one of his tracks, "Apotheosis", was released on a techno compilation "IN
UNITY", this was his first release. Another track, "Soft pump", was the demo of the week in a
very popular Swedish radio program, "Musikjournalen - dance". At the same time John
Francis, from DanceBEAT records, contacted Petter and gave him a record deal. The Pump EP was
released in february 1999 on the Solarplexus label.
